Chasing rainbows; or fanning the flames of hate

Every time my sister called me while I was away, the conversation invariably turned to some varation of her saying "you know I hate you, right? My coworkers are a little bitter that I left for warmer, sunnier climes. I have one friend who, because of something involving a fomer girlfriend from Hawaii, has hated the idea of my trip for months.

So, in an effort to up the ante on the hate a little for anybody who wasn't already feeling resentful, I'll tell you about all the rainbows I saw on my trip. I saw at least two most days, and some days so many that I had to stop photographing them.

The first one happened mere hours after I got there, and I only noticed it out the window:
The second one was a little sneaky, and I had to follow it around for a while in order to take some pictures. I'd never seen the full arc of a rainbow before.
And, finally,

A rainbow against the clouds.

I hope knowing it rained on my trip makes you hate me a little less.
